Magnolia Garden Works

Magnolia Garden Works is a competent team of hard-working individuals who together have a lifetime of experience in gardening services. Abigail and Robert met in 20018, and decided it was time to make an impact, go into business together, and use our shared experience working for others to make a company of our own. We were energized to have a chance to service our clients OUR way, and forge a new direction for our many associates, who also believe in the vision of our company. We are determined to provide an all encompassing, one-stop resource for your landscaping needs, Residential or Commercial! We have happy clients all over SW Montgomery County, including (but not limited to) the neighborhoods of Old Mill Lake, Lake Windcrest, Thousand Oaks, High Meadow Ranch and Windcrest Estates. We are convenient to The Woodlands and to Conroe/Willis, and service clients as far South as Champion's Forest, Spring and Jersey Village. Our Facebook Page can be found at:

Let our seasoned horticulturists bring vision and order to your garden landscape. Cutting garden, for fresh cut flowers? No problem. Herb garden for your culinary endeavors? You got it. Curb appeal? Absolutely! Deer are not a problem with our work, as we have learned which plants they will be less likely to eat. We can set up a schedule of ongoing maintenance as well, if you prefer to let us take the worry out of your garden care.

Our tree service team can eliminate tree hazards, trim and remove unwanted or diseased trees, stump grinding for total removal of roots and even complete land clearing. Our tree specialist has 15 years experience in tree service, and has much knowledge he is willing to share, about keeping your trees healthy. Sometimes the best solution to grow healthy trees, is by eliminating the ones that are not.

Your imagination is the limit, on creating a fantastic fountain or water feature for your garden or workplace. From traditional styles and materials, to contemporary art or pottery, we can make your vision come to life. Pair that with lush surrounding foliage, and you'll have a garden oasis, with soothing trickling water to brighten your spirits and make stress melt away.

Let us design your total landscape, including garden design or re-design, hard-scaping, fountains and pathways. If you need drainage adjustments, our team have extensive experience. Tree trimming, or raising the canopy to allow more light, and to uncover the front of your lovely home can be achieved easily and affordably. Check out our gallery for some of the lovely projects we have implemented for other happy clients.

Abigail Owen, from a long line of gardening enthusiasts, was previously the assistant horticulturist for The Houston Country Club. Each new client led to the next, through word-of-mouth, and more recently 'Next Door', an app designed to connect neighbors/businesses, and the rest is history. Her passion is gardening, and has been happily turning that into an income source that is rewarding and fun to do. There is nothing else she would rather be doing, unless it is spending time with her four children, and seven grandchildren.

Robert Ramos was born in El Salvador, and moved to Los Angeles at age 14 where he attended Belmont High School. He has made Texas his home along with his wife and five children since 2007. He has 6 years supervisory experience from his last company, until he decided to go into business for himself, and partnered with Abby, so he could service his clients HIS way, using his extensive knowledge of trees. Robert understands the many ways to keep trees strong and healthy, and knows when to take them out to make room for others, or to stop the spread of disease.

In his own words - "I think if you are going to do something with passion, you first need to have inspiration. I get mine from the Bible, where we are taught that 'everything that breathes oxygen praises God'. So I started to pay attention to trees, and how they grow. Two things I learned were no matter what hardships they have, they keep coming back, sometimes even better than before, and secondly, they fight each other over sunlight and nutrients. I have to put myself in their place, and decide if it would be better to thin them out, so they have a better chance, and if I need to remove them when there's no chance at all. When I see the results I get happy. The example I get from the trees is 'It's not over til it's over', and as long as there is life, there is always hope for tomorrow." Robert enjoys sharing his knowledge, as you will find if you speak to him in person, and also online in the videos he creates with his son, about trees and the issues they have.

“I used Abby Owen to do "extreme" gardening at my house to spruce it up. She did such a fabulous job I wanted to share her with all of you. Working by the hour, I found her very economical cost wise and she is very task driven. Abby is very honest and trustworthy. I went from hating my pool area to it being my favorite place to hang out. The transformation of all the yard areas is amazing!”

Nancy Blewett, Old Mill Lake

“For anyone needing to "spruce up" the curb appeal to your home or to enhance your outdoor sitting area, Abby is the lady to assist you! See has a great eye for arranging planters with various plants and color, plus bringing great color to your flower beds. And, such a delight to work with!! So glad I found her!”

Georgette Fowler, Old Mill Lake

Head of Potatoes, The Internet

"I love what these ladies were able to do with my yard. They made two flower beds which are both full of color and stand out from any of the others in the neighborhood. I absolutely love their work!"
